Status of LandTrendr processing
Since 2008, LandTrendr has been applied to Thematic Mapper scenes across Washington, Oregon, and California, and Utah, as well as other areas scattered across the western U.S. and elsewhere. As the code has evolved, processing has evolved as well.
A new upgrade to the LandTrendr preprocessing is underway (new code release now anticipated April 20, 2012), and with the new preprocessing flow, we are beginning to reprocess all imagery for Washington, Oregon, and California from 1984 to 2011 (under the following project).
The following maps provide a snapshot of this newest round of image processing for LandTrendr-related projects as of 4/17/12.
"Mapped" means that the entire LandTrendr process has been completed, including maps of disturbance and stacks of temporally stabilized imagery.
"Segmentation evaluation" means that all pre-processing has been complete and an initial run of temporal segmentation has been completed, and is now in the process of quality assurance, cleaning, and potential re-processing. After re-processing, the next step is mapping.
"Pre-processing complete" means that all images have been downloaded, cloud masks have been created, and radiometric normalization has taken place. The next step is segmentation evaluation.
"Pre-processing in progress" means that images have been identified and downloaded, and are currently being cloud-masked and normalized.
LandTrendr processing has occurred at other scenes around the country. This map shows where we have run LandTrendr in the past or are currently processing scenes.
