Introduction

Meeting goals

1. Primary goal:  Provide NPS participants with enough knowledge of the details of implementing LandTrendr, the specific needs for validation and ground-truthing, and the steps involved in interpreting maps for networks to assess final utility for monitoring.
2. Secondary goal:  Assess whether a cross-park structure to carry on LandTrendr processing may be more efficient for long-term monitoring, and whether common divisions of effort across networks could create economies of scale.
3. Tertiary goal:   Facilitate cross-network contacts and spur new uses of remote sensing imagery for monitoring.
